HARLEM, Mont. (NMB) – This Sunday, the annual Harlem Country Christmas will kick off at the New Horizons building in Harlem at 3 PM. Organizer Kayla Hudon says they will host their Second Annual Chili Cook-Off that evening, with 1st Place winning $200 and 2nd Place winning $100.
“We have about twelve vendors right now and they are from 3 to 6. Santa will be there and Santa pictures will be from 3 to 5. And the Chili Cook-Off will begin at 4 and go from 4 to 6.”
Hudon says the Chili Cook-Off was a hit last year.
“We had seven entries last year and anywhere from sweet chili, someone did a Hawaiian one. Somebody did it with buffalo. A couple people had super hot ones. A few people had mild ones. So it was a definite variety.”
$5 will get you a bowl of chili, plus a ticket to cast your vote for your favorite chili. Registration for the Chili Cook-Off needs to be turned in by Friday, December 7th. For any questions, call 353-4620.
